(26th April 2013) - Humanitarian agencies say they plan to supply seeds and tools to over 370,000 small-scale farmers across South Sudan.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) says providing seeds and tools is an important way of solving food shortages in the country.
The priority is to reach farmers with these supplies soon, to enable them to plant crops before the peak of the rainy season, around August.
A shortage of funds will prevent this aid reaching another 150,000 farmers, according to the UNOCHA report, issued on Wednesday.
