(9th May, 2013) - Seven people have been killed and 15 others wounded in inter-communal clashes in Akobo County, Jonglei State.
The clashes took place on Tuesday and Wednesday between two Lou-Nuer clan in Walgak and Waat Payams in Akobo west, County Commissioner Kong Rambang told Radio Miraya.
Mr Rambang said SPLA intervened and restored calm to the area.
The seriously injured are being transported to Bor and Juba Teaching Hospitals, while others are being treated in Walgak Health Center, he said.
The two sections of Lou Nuer have been in conflict over the killing of a chief, resulting to the death of 19 people in 2008.
