South Sudan (Republic of): Yida Weekly Refugee Population Report as of 26th May 2013

  • During the current week (20 - 26 May), 171 individuals have been registered; 110 are active. With the introduction of the new GoSS resolution,61 individuals have been registered and not provided with ration cards in Yida.

  • 79 out of 110 are newborns.

45% of new arrivals are minors and 55% are above 18 years.

53.33% are female, 46.67 % are male;

  • Rejections: 0 individuals have been rejected this week.

  • Tranfers: - 119 individuals were tranferred from Yida to Ajoung Thok and 17 refugee Pariang students were moved from Yida to Ajoung Thok. - 15 Individuals were tranferred from Yida to Nyeel and 1 individual was transfered from Pariang to Nyeel. 0 individuals spontaneously arrived to Ajoung Thok. As of May 25 Ajoung Thok camp host 980 refugees.

  • Majority of new arrivals come from Heban and Al Boram.
