(15th August, 2013) - Authorities in Tonj North County, Warrap State said more than 36 houses have collapsed due to flooding.
The Commissioner of Tonj North, Marko Awoj, told Radio Miraya that farms around the county headquarters have been destroyed by water.
He added heavy rains in the county have contributed to outbreaks of malaria and other diseases.
“These floods have caused outbreaks of malaria and whooping cough, and then you get everybody is complaining of neck pain and then joint pain, said.”
