Situation overview
• Aid agencies conducted two needs assessments in Jonglei’s Pibor County, along the Pibor river south of Gumuruk and along the Lotilla river north of Pibor town.
• The response to 17,300 people affected by floods in Warrap State has begun, with health supplies and household items distributed, and registration underway for food assistance.
• At a meeting in Khartoum on 3 September, the Presidents of South Sudan and Sudan agreed to continue the production and export of South Sudanese oil through Sudan, securing vital Government resources for basic services.
