South Sudan (Republic of): Central Equatoria state allocates more land to IDP's

(Dec. 31, 2013) The Central Equatoria government has allocated 18-thousand square meters to accommodate people displaced by violence.

State television reports the land, along the Yei Juba road, has been allocated to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan to temporarily accommodate internally displaced people currently sheltering in UN camps in Juba.

The state Physical Infrastructure Minister, Jimmy Wongo, says the land will be temporarily available to UNMISS until the displaced people agree to return home.

There are more than 25-thosuand people currently in UN camps in Tomping in Jebel.
