Almost four-thousand people displaced by violence from Unity state have sought refuge in three locations in the neighboring Twic County of Warrap state.
The state Minister of Health, Paul Dhel Gum says Kuajok hospital has so far treated 35 war wounded.
Dhel says the governor of Warrap state has formed a crisis management committee to identify ways to help the displaced people.
“So far three thousand nine hundred and fifty are currently in Twic county that in Aweng Payam and some are in Wunrok and some are in Pananguei, these areas are already over flooded by IDPs. The Governor of Warrap state Madam Nyandeng held a meeting and formed crisis management committee, were by the humanitarian committee staff carry out the quick assessment for these IDPs and a rapid intervention.”
Dhel also says the displaced will be relocated within the county for more protection and to access health facilities.
