Thousands of people displaced by heavy rains

An estimated 1000 (One Thousand) people have been displaced by heavy rains in Nzara, Western Equatoria State. The most affected areas were houses on both sides of the river Yubu.

International aid organization, Medicins sans Frontier (MSF) has sent teams to assess the condition of those affected.

The Acting Deputy Executive Director of Nzara County, Richard Khamis Jedid, told Radio Miraya that more than 200 (two hundred) homes were destroyed in the heavy rains that started last Friday and continued throughout the weekend.
