Highlights
Around 575,500 people are displaced inside South Sudan, and another 112,200 people have fled to neighbouring countries.
Aid organizations have assisted over 251,000 people so far; the majority outside UN bases in rural areas.
Some 76,000 people – the highest number since the start of the conflict – are sheltered in eight UN bases, including 27,000 people in Malakal and over 35,000 in the two bases in Juba.
Over 100 aid workers were relocated from Mingkaman, Lakes State, on 22 January following clashes nearby, causing a temporary suspension of aid operations in the area.
Health staff traveled to Bor on 23 January to prepare for a measles vaccination campaign to start on 24 January.
