(16th April 2013) - A consignment of 2,000 bags of maize flour worth $60,000 is on its way to Kapoeta in Eastern Equatoria State to be distributed to the hungry.
The food was donated by the Islamic Propagation Organization (IPO) in Juba and is in response to an appeal by the state governor, Louis Lobong Lojore. “Our office in Kampala bought 100 tons of maize flour. We will receive the consignment within two days,” said Kamis Sindani, director of IPO.
He explained that the food will be handed over to the state governor for distribution to Kapoeta Counties.
