(13th June, 2013) - At least 30 children associated with the armed forces in Unity State have been reunited with their families.
The State Director for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Commission (DDRC), George Gatloi said the children were removed from Sudan People’s Liberation Army (SPLA) barracks in May.
Director Gatloi, said the children were reunited with their families in three Payams of Koch County.
He further added that only one child from Abyei was not reunited because tracing his parents has proved difficult.
Gatloi added that the child will remain under the interim care of the authorities while efforts to search for his parents in Warrap State will continue.
