Malaria is under control in state says MSF

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), an International-non-governmental medical Organization, said that it has successfully brought the malaria outbreak in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, under control.

MSF, said it has provided mobile clinics to treat malaria in both Apada and Maperkot villages since September this year.

In a statement, MSF said it has boosted its services in Aweil Civil Hospital and other four health facilities in Arroyo, Akuem, Malek Alel and Bar Mayen respectively.

The organization also provided logistical support to the State Ministry of Health to transport more than 150,000 dozens of anti-malarial drugs to Northern Bahrel Ghazal.

MSF's Project Coordinator Abdelkader Tlidjane, said that there is an increase of Malaria cases in the state this year due to the heavy rains in the area.
