The French government has donated 500,000 Euros for seed projects, in five states across the country.
The money, which is about three million South Sudanese pounds, will be used to promote community-based seed production and supply projects in Eastern, Western and Central Equatoria states, as well as Western and Northern Bahr el Ghazal.
The Representative of the French Ambassador to South Sudan, Lacetitia Tremel, told Radio Miraya that the projects will be implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO).
She said the donation shows the continued commitment of the French government to achieving food security in the country.
