The National Bureau of Statistics has said it needs more than one hundred million US dollars, to conduct the 2014 national census.
The Chairman of the Bureau, Isaiah Chol Arual, said they have completed the technical work, but need more money to prepare for the population count.
Chol, made the comments during the visit of the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary General, Toby Lanzer, to the bureau offices in Juba on Friday.
Lanzer, on his part said the UN would continue to support the Bureau of Statistics in collection and analysis of crucial data needed for better planning and development.
The National Bureau of Statistics was established in 2006.
