A plan is underway to assess the hunger in Kapoeta counties in Eastern Equatoria to arrive to possible solutions, the Humanitarian Affairs minister has said.
Joseph Lual Achuil, said the hunger, which has already killed at least 10 people, will be addressed within the next two weeks.
The minister called up on individuals willing to assist to contact his ministry.
The assessment will be conducted by the Humanitarian Affairs ministry and South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission, he said.
Lual, was speaking at a press conference at the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Wednesday.
The commissioners of Kapoeta North, Kapoeta South, Kapoeta East, and Budi have also appealed to the private sector to intervene.
